NixGinT: July 2008

31st July 2008, Thursday..

I will never forget today..
after 1 year, 7 months of teaching 4G'08 chemistry, miss chui is leaving..
leaving not only us, but GESS and SINGAPORE as well..
she's going over to SHANGHAI...
super duper faraway..
I had the complacent attitude that this day wouldn't come so fast..
i kept thinking that there's still time, there's still time..
but, time really flies..
today is her last day of teaching..

Sheean planned something that we do for her at the beginning of chem period..
we greeted her as normal, then once she said "pls sit down",
all 32 girls+10 guys went up to the teacher's console where she stood..
we formed a circle around her..
gave her the gigantic card that yong zhen they all bought.. with everyone's message to miss chui..someone asked her why she didn't cry... she said she's good at holding back her tears..
according to the plan, we're supposed to 'fake crying' to touch miss chui.. LOL.. but in the end, wasn't that easy ne... haha..
so the class 'leaders' sheean and dina started to thank miss chui and stuff.. ting feng represented the guys...

then, dina said, "miss chui, say something, i'll video it down"
miss chui said(something like that) "4G, i love you all, although you're not the class with the best results, but attitude wise, you're really good"
this is the trigger.. quite a few girls started tearing.. then miss chui cried...
i didn't tear.. cox i was.. erm.. i dunno.. guess i just held it back?? but my eyes were kinda wet..
if you know what i mean..

This is the first time ever that we saw miss chui cry...
she's like the sunshine-ish, always cheerful teacher..
even when our class scored terribly for tests, scored badly for mid-year exams, she has never lost her temper on us.. she has all the patience in the world man..
she cried today.. in front of us, for us..

miss chui, hotoni(really) arigato(thanks) for all that you have done for us..
we will really really miss you so much...
so prepare loads of tissue for your sneezing..
cox everytime you sneeze, it means we missed you a lot.. haha.. lame ne...
do come back and visit...
distance makes the heart grow fonder.. LOL..
YOU'RE IRREPLACABLE...

但, 曲终人散之时,悲欢交际...
悲, 为了分别, 分开,失去而悲
欢, 为了未来, 继续, 成长而欢..
(there will always be a day where everyone has to part
but, both sadness and happiness fills our hearts at the moment of parting
sadness due to parting, leaving, feeling of lost..
happiness due to looking forward to the future, continuity, growth and maturity)
